Eric Suraud has been professor for Theoretical Physics at the Paul-Sabatier university in Toulouse, France, since 1992. He received his PhD in 1984 at the Paris university and his Habilitation in 1989 at the Grenoble university. He was junior member of Institut Universitaire de France in 1994-1999. He had several local and national responsabilities; he has been in particular Vice Director of Institut de Physique Nucléaire et des Particules at CNRS in Paris. His present research interests mostly cover cluster and nuclear physics, with a special emphasis on the dynamics of irradiated clusters and molecules. He has been involved in numerous international collaborations, especially with Germany. He has published numerous articles in scientific journals and several textbooks.

Professor Sasa Divjak is the Head of Laboratory for Computer Graphics and Multimediа at University of Ljubljana, Slovenia; he is also a Senior member of IEEE and Chair of IEEE Slovenia Computer Society Chapter, Chairman of CoLoS association and a member of the European Academy of Sciences. He is past Vice-President of Iskra Delta Computers, Vice Dean for Research and Development at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Ljubljana and at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Science, visiting professor at University of Udine (Italy), Head of Chair for Software at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science, Ljubljana. He was also responsible for many projects devoted to the computer supported simulation and automation of different technological processes and for many projects related to multimedia and computer literacy, Co-author of SW support of first Slovenian robots, collaborator in the Italian regional educational project «Factories of the future», member of Program Committee for computer literacy of Slovenian Ministry of Education and Science and Chairman of IEEE Slovenia Section.

Professor Oleg L. Figovky is Chairman of the UNESCO chair «Green Chemistry» and Distinguish Professor in Materials Engineering of Voronezh State Architecture and Civil Engineering University. He received his Ph.D in Material Science from Moscow Civil Engineering University in 1971. From 1998 he is director R&D of International Nanotechnology Research Center «Polymate» and from 2008 — director R&D of NanoTech Industries, Inc. (USA). His field of scientific interests is nanostructured corrosion resistant composite materials and protective nanostructured coatings based on polymer and silicate matrix. . Last his elaborations are nanostructured nonisocyanate polyurethanes, nanocellulose and nanocomposites based on epoxy-rubber binders. Prof. Figovsky is the author more than 500 inventions in Materials and Chemical Engineering. In 2006 he received the Gold Angel Prize at the “Genious-2006” and in 2007 NASA Nanotech Briefs®’ Nano 50™ Award. Prof. Figovsky was elected as the President of Israel Association of Inventors (1999) and Presidium member of Russian Nanotechnology Society (2008). Editor-in-Chief of the ICMS-journal; Honorary editor of the ILCPA — journal; Academician of EAS, RAASN and REA; President of Israel Association of Inventors; Chairman of the UNESCO chair «Green Chemistry»; Honorary Professor of WSG (Poland); Holder of orders “Engineering Glory”, «Antoine de Saint-Exupery» & medal «Holy Land of Israel»; Laureate of the 2015 Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award (USA).

Prof. Dr. Jerzy Leszczynski

Professor Jerzy Leszczynski is Professor of Chemistry and President’s Distinguished Fellow at the Jackson State University, Jackson Mississippi (since 1998) NSF Center of Excellence – Computational Center for Molecular Structure and Interactions. His research activities cover a broad range of projects including studies of nature of chemical bonds, theoretical predictions of molecular potential energy surfaces, structures of weakly bonded complexes, properties of DNA fragments, interactions of explosives with soil, decomposition of nerve agents on metal oxides and clays. He has published about 500 referred papers in leading journals and more than 30 book chapters.
He has been selected to: European Academy of Sciences (2002); International Academy of Engineering, (2003); Ukrainian Ecological Academy of Sciences, (2003) and European Academy of Sciences, Arts and Humanities, (2004).
He was honored by the US President Barak Obama for his mentoring efforts in the area of engineering in January 2010.

Professor Theodore E. Simos is Professor of Numerical Analysis with Applications on Computational Physics and on Computational Chemistry. He was Visiting Professor to several Universities. He is Member of the European Academy of Sciences, Corresponding Member of European Academy of Arts, Sciences and Humanities and Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC). He is President of the European Society of Computational Methods in Sciences and Engineering (ESCMSE). He has received numerous prizes for his scientific research activities. He is Series Editor of the Lecture Series on Computer Science and on Computational Sciences, Editor-in-Chief of four Scientific Journals, member of the Editorial Board in numerous Scientific Journals. He has been Guest Editor to numerous Special Issues of Scientific Journals. He is the Founder and the Chairman of the Scientific and Organizing Committee of three International Conferences on Applied Mathematics and Computational Science. He is also member of the Scientific Committee to numerous International Conferences on Applied Mathematics and Computational Science. He is the author of more than 215 papers in Scientific journals 5 books and 4 chapters in books of his research area.

Европейская академия (Academia Europaea) — общественная неправительственная организация, объединяющая ведущих учёных европейских стран. Была создана в 1988 году в рамках концепции «Общеевропейского дома» и объединённой Европы. Академия включает секции по всем основным разделам естественных и гуманитарных наук, издаёт журнал European Review[en]. Президент (с 2014 года) — Зирд Клутинг (нидерл. Sierd Cloetingh). По состоянию на 2018 год в состав академии входят около 3800 учёных, в том числе 52 нобелевских лауреата.

Концепция «Европейской академии наук» возникла на встрече в Париже европейских министров науки в 1985 году. Затем Королевское общество (Великобритания) в июне 1986 года организовало встречу в Лондоне ряда учёных, общественных и политических деятелей, где была одобрена идея создания академии.

Academia Europaea была основана как «Европейская академия естественных, гуманитарных наук и литературы» (англ. European Academy of Sciences, Humanities and Letters) на собрании, проходившем в Кембридже в сентябре 1988 года. Первым президентом был избран Арнольд Бёрджен (англ. Arnold Burgen). Министр науки Франции Юбер Курьен (фр. Hubert Curien), позже ставший вторым президентом академии, произнёс вступительную речь. Первое пленарное заседание проходило в Лондоне в июне 1989 года, в то время Академия уже насчитывала 627 членов.
